By 2020, Russian meat exports may grow to a million tons per year. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Alexander Tkachev at the Council under the President of the Russian Federation on strategic development and priority projects.
In this case, the minister believes, the export of grain and meat will make it possible to receive about $25 billion. Currently, the profit from the supply of these products abroad is about 15 billion dollars.
In addition, Tkachev said that the prospects for the growth of meat exports are much higher than for grain supplies. At the same time, he recalled that in recent years there has been an increase in grain exports, as well as the number of countries to which Russian grain is supplied.
