Next year, a new type of state support for the agricultural industry will appear in the Stavropol Territory – grants for the purchase of technological equipment for dairy farms and breeding stock of dairy breeds, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the UK reported.
The regional budget provides for more than 114 million rubles for these purposes. The day before, the head of the regional agrarian department, Vladimir Sitnikov, paid a working visit to the Kochubeevsky district, which is one of the dairy leaders in the region. For example, in the SPK collective farm-stud farm “Kuban” they breed Ayrshire cattle. The daily gross milk production is about 10 tons with an average productivity of 18.5 kg, which is 2.3 kg higher than the average regional values. Since the beginning of the year, 457 calves have been received. The average daily weight gain of young animals is 588 grams. The collective farm-stud farm “Kuban” is among the dynamically developing enterprises of the Stavropol Territory, said the Minister of Agriculture of the NC Vladimir Sitnikov. The profitability of milk production is almost 20 percent. In many ways, such good economic performance is due to state support. So, this year, subsidies were allocated from the federal and regional budgets for the volumes of milk sold – about 2.7 million rubles, and more than 755 thousand rubles were allocated to support pedigree dairy farming. During the meeting, the head of the agricultural department was shown the building of the former pig farm, which will soon be reconstructed into a dairy farm.
