In the Stavropol Territory, the plan for sowing spring crops was exceeded

To date, agricultural producers of the region have completed the sowing of spring crops on an area of ​​951.0 thousand hectares or 102% of the plan: corn for grain by 190 thousand hectares or 104% of the planned, sunflower by 250 thousand hectares or 103% . Elena Tambovtseva, head of the crop production department of the ministry, reported this to the minister.

She also noted that the protection of crops from weeds was completed on an area of ​​1.4 million hectares, or 83% of the plan, fungicidal treatments were carried out on 900 thousand hectares, or 47%.

Preventive pest control measures are also being taken in gardens – 4 thousand hectares are no longer threatened by insects and diseases. The spring laying of plantings was completed on a total area of ​​167.12 hectares (in Novozavedenskoye LLC of the Georgievsky district on 57.0 hectares, in Novaya Derevnya LLC – on 10.0 hectares, in Beshtau Gardens LLC of the Mineralovodsky urban district on 100, 12 ha). Strawberries are planted on 15 hectares, including 8 hectares in the Pedashenko farm of the Trunovsky municipal district, 7 hectares in the Novozavedenskoye LLC of the Georgievsky district. Now this berry is already blooming.

Elena Tambovtseva noted that the viticulture organizations of the region are currently working on opening, pruning and tying plantings, cultivating, installing and repairing trellises. The total scope of work is 6957 hectares.

After listening to the speech, the minister drew the attention of his colleagues to measures to combat locust pests.

– This year we have to cultivate 200 thousand hectares of land. Currently, the region has a reserve of drugs purchased at the expense of the federal and regional budgets in the amount of 4.5 thousand liters, sufficient to treat 59 thousand hectares. Therefore, we can safely begin to cultivate the fields from insects. It is necessary to promptly hold meetings with agricultural producers of the region and provide them with all the necessary assistance in this matter, – said Vladimir Sitnikov.

In conclusion, Elena Tambovtseva added that in May-June the ministry plans to hold 14 seminars: 8 on grain production, including June 9, Rostselmash Field Day on the basis of SNIISKh with a demonstration of agricultural equipment, as well as a detour by the governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov crops and a meeting on the formation of the harvest-2017. This event is planned to be attended by the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. There will also be 3 seminars on horticulture and berry growing, 1 on the protection of soybean crops from pests, diseases and weeds with the company Basf. And two more major events – the Syngenta field town in Agroholding Krasnogvardeisky LLC in the village of Krasnogvardeiskoye and the Avgust firm CJSC “Avgust CJSC winter wheat protection system.”
